About us TTC

A baby is momentous, a blessing, a piece of you...

So we have a wonderful baby boy named Levi, but we would love to have another little one. Some may think were crazy, we may think were crazy ourselves. Though I have always wanted our children close in age, so they may grow up together. We have been TTC lately for our second bundle of joy. I haven't been charting or temping like a true TTCer, but we haven't been preventing anything at all. So what happens just happens. I can't wait to be pregnant again.

When your pregnant you feel so many different things and have many emotions. I miss the feeling of a baby inside my womb kicking and moving around. Even sticking things out when there not suppose to. I remember my son Levi when he was in my belly he would have his butt sticking out all the time. Typical of him to do that, because when he sleeps now and you walk into his room you will find his butt up in the air. I love him though, even when he's all clingy and only wants his mommy.

Thats our story on us TTC and I will keep you updated along the way. All in all I think Levi would make a great big brother! I also can't wait to have another blessing from the Lord.

Christmas Eve Photo Shoot

So we decided not to go get professional pictures done for Christmas this year, so I took some by myself. I set my timer, propped it on something high enough and snapped away. I think a lot of these came out looking good and warning there are a lot!

Levi and Santa 2009

So it being Levi's 1st Christmas and everything, I had to get pictures of Levi with Santa. I think it's a mommy must! We went to three different Santa's and I have to say these are the best taken at Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News, VA. They got him to smile and that is what I wanted so bad. Nothing beats it when your son or daughter is smiling. It's priceless to see them so happy.

Christmas 2009

I hope everybody has had a wonderful Christmas! This year is my son's first Christmas and I couldn't be more proud. Levi is 11 months and will be a year old in 2 weeks, 1 day! I can't believe how much time has flown by. We woke up at 8:00am. Levi gets up early every morning as I'm sure many moms know that once we have a baby our sleeping in days are over. It may be different for the dads, because I know that my husband sleeps in sometimes too. After we all woke up we went into the living room. The tree was filled with presents. Santa sure did spoil us this year. We started with our stockings first and Levi kept going after our stockings and not his own. After that we had Levi open a few of his presents. He loved it at first and was having so much fun ripping the wrapping paper off. After a few of his presents were open, he just wanted to play with what he had already. He had a lot more to open though, but he didn't care. It's alright, the smile on his face when he was playing with his new toys was the best gift of all. That is being able to spend Christmas with my husband and son.

I know a lot of wives, girlfriends, and finance's out there who don't get to spend Christmas with the ones they love. Maybe they are out on a deployment, a mission, or just out doing a job. There could be many different reasons. I want to let them all know that even though I haven't gone through a deployment yet or been very far from my SO, I know it's hard, but just always remember they are thinking of you every minute they are away and they are always in your heart and if you ever want to vent or just chat. Feel free to contact me. Like the quote "Absence makes the heart grow fonder."

After gifts this morning I started cooking our Christmas meal. Our Christmas meal consisted of boneless roast, ham, mashed potatoes(I didn't cook them long enough.), mac and cheese, green bean casserole, and dinner rolls. It was very good minus the mashed potatoes.

That was our first Christmas of the three of us(Patrick, Levi and I). Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone and cherish the time spent with your loved ones!! Included are some pictures from our day.

Introduction

Why blog? I say blog, because when you blog you have a chance to write. To express what and how you are feeling. Plus I think it'd be a wonderful way to remember things. Let me introduce myself to you.

My name is Cara. I was born on July 2nd, 1988 to my mom Carol. I have a sister named Christa and a brother named Joseph. I am married to a wonderful man named Patrick. We got married April 18th, 2008. We have a bouncy baby boy named Levi, who was born on January 9th, 2009. I enjoy many things. I enjoy reading the bible, scrapbooking, movies, dancing, singing(I may not be good at either on of those things, but the point is to have fun doing it!). Moving on, I enjoy reading romance books, they are my favorite, cooking, and spending time with my boys. I also enjoy going out with friends, but being a mom and wife those times are far and few. I enjoy it when it happens though.

I hope you enjoy my blog and decide to follow me. I will "try" not to disappoint you, I have a almost one year old so there will be many fun times ahead!
